Monday, September 9th , 2047
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Dominique Petrocelli of the Ottawa Lynx had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 9-8 win over the Detroit Tigers at Ottawa Ballpark.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old third baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Dominique Petrocelli singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
So far on the season, Petrocelli is hitting .288 with 15 home runs, 60 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 119 hits and played in 118 games.
