Ludwig Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Philadelphia Monday, April 29th , 2052 The hitting streak that Sarasota center fielder Bill Ludwig had kept going for 21 games was ended by the Philadelphia Avalanche. Ludwig was stymied over 6 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 10-6 victory at Avalanche Ballpark. "Hitting streaks come and go," Ludwig said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." This season, Ludwig is batting .308 with 10 RBIs, 11 runs scored and 4 home runs. |
