Ludwig Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Friday, April 26th , 2052 The number just keeps getting higher. Sarasota center fielder Bill Ludwig has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Sarasota won the game, 3-2, over the Eugene Exploding Whales at Sweeties Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Eugene manager Eddie Alvarez said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Bill Ludwig doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. At the moment, Ludwig is hitting .338 with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. He has played in 16 games and scored 11 times. |
