Season-Ending Injury for Alejandro Lamas
Wednesday, July 15th , 2048
The doctors have spoken and Alejandro Lamas of the Flint Coney Dogs didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lamas sustained his season-ending injury during the Thousand Oaks Rabbits game yesterday at Spencer Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Flint medical staff reported Lamas had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months.
