Super Swinger -- Wichert Slams 5 Hits Friday, July 3rd , 2048 Ho Chi Minh City Tigers center fielder Lane Wichert banged out 5 hits, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Kansas City Kings, 10-5. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. "If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Wichert said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins." Lane Wichert hit a two-run home run off Ray Barber in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
