Sakowski Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Thursday, May 19th , 2050 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Adam Sakowski did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Walker Stadium. For the last 20 games in a row, the 25-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Portland Pickles beat the Nephi Threshers, 4-3. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Sakowski told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Portland clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Adam Sakowski singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. In his 2050 season totals, Sakowski has 5 home runs, .350 BA, .392 OBP, 22 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
