Burkart Sizzles, Sarasota Fizzles Monday, June 14th , 2049 Rick Burkart kept the Sarasota Sweeties hitters from doing much damage at Sweeties Ballpark. Sarasota could only muster 8 hits and draw 1 walk against the left-handed Burkart, who controlled them throughout the game. Kinsale won the contest, 3-0. Burkart added 5 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Burkart told reporters after the shutout win.
