Playoffs? No Chance for Detroit Thursday, August 15th , 2047 Many Detroit Tigers fans have already turned their attention to next season, and with good reason. Even with a good chunk of the schedule still left to play, the club was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. Detroit last appeared in the postseason in 2039. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 17 times in their 30-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Tigers have made the playoffs 4 times. Detroit has won the Round 3 3 times in their history. |
