Rodriguez Collects CAAA Pitching Award Tuesday, June 1st , 2049 This month when the Portland manager wrote the name "Rodriguez" on the lineup card, he was confident that he would get a good start out of him. Outing after outing in May Mario Rodriguez took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 5-0 mark and 0.56 ERA in 5 starts, piling up 32.1 innings and 27 strikeouts and holding opposing teams to a .202 average. For his superb performance Rodriguez was named the CBD Triple A Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. Rodriguez has posted a 5-0 record for the year with a 1.34 ERA. Teams are hitting .198 against him and he has rung up 52 strikeouts in 60.2 innings. |
