Week's #1 Player Honored by CAAA Monday, August 12th , 2047 Few players his age are still in the league, but Tony Lopez of the Kansas City Kings clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 36-year-old first baseman hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Lopez a popular and well-deserved selection as CBD Triple A Player of the Week. He paced the Kings attack by putting up a .692 batting average, 9 hits in 13 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 2 home runs. Lopez also scored 6 runs. Thus far this year, Lopez is batting .258 with 13 home runs, 35 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
