League Punishes Pair for Fighting

Ron Gibson of Ho Chi Minh City and Phil Durand of Phoenix were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Gibson will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Durand was given 2 games. League officials announced their suspensions today.
Gibson is batting .270 this year with no home runs, 8 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 100 at-bats.
This season, Durand has made 13 relief appearances, recorded 9 saves and compiled a 0-3 won-lost mark and a 6.55 ERA. In pitching 11 innings, he has totaled 5 strikeouts and 9 walks.
