League Issues 3-Game Suspensions for Brawl Friday, May 12th , 2051 Trevor Benudiz of the Rochester River Sharks was not happy with Kevin Bilbrey, and his frustration showed when he went after the Flint player during yesterday's game at Ballpark of Rochester. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Benudiz and Bilbrey were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game. Both players were suspended 3 games by the league office as a result of their tussle. "It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Benudiz commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings." Currently Benudiz is hitting .278 and has collected no home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 12 times, while playing in 26 games. This season, Kevin Bilbrey has made 12 relief appearances, saving 0. His record is 0-1 with 6 strikeouts in 11 innings and a 5.73 ERA. |
