CAAA Star of the Week Named Monday, July 22nd , 2047 A battle-tested Kevin Chavez declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old Sarasota third baseman collected the CBD Triple A Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .450 average, 9 hits in 20 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year, Chavez has hit 13 home runs and posted a .267 batting average. |
