Four-bagger Feast: Kennelly Slugs 3 for Kinsale Friday, September 13th , 2041 Today was a special one for Dylan Kennelly of the Kinsale Fisherman as he slammed three home runs in the 11-0 win over the Thousand Oaks Rabbits. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Kinsale left fielder collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 6, and scored 3 runs in the contest at Spencer Grounds. Dylan Kennelly struck out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Ben Malloy in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mike Shevchenko in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Chris Selle in the 9th. This year Kennelly is batting .227 with 101 hits, 44 home runs, 97 RBIs, 43 walks, .305 OBP and has scored 75 runs. |
