Staley Struts Stuff in Win Over Nephi Sunday, July 14th , 2047 It wasn't easy but Danny Staley made it look that way. Staley silenced the Nephi Threshers, 3-0, in a Portland Pickles triumph at Threshers Ballpark. Despite the appearance of dominance, Staley said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Staley has made 18 starts, tossed 131.2 innings, struck out 90 batters and walked 21.
