Koester and Thomas Brawl, League Suspends Them Tuesday, May 4th , 2049 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Rochester-Kinsale contest at Blue Raiders Ballpark. The River Sharks Mike Koester and the Fisherman Matt Thomas will have to sit out 2 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Thus far this season, Koester is hitting .342 with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 13 hits in 38 at-bats and has played in 13 games. In 5 starts this season, Thomas has picked up 2 wins while suffering 1 loss. He has pitched 18.2 innings, allowed 19 hits, struck out 13 and posted a 7.23 ERA. |
