Herder Bangs 3 HR Against Memphis Monday, April 24th , 2051 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Copper Kings-BBQ game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Reno center fielder Oscar Herder thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Reno to a win, 7-6, over Memphis. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Herder said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Herder, who is tied for 2nd in the CAAA in extra base hits with 6, was 4-for-5 on the day with 4 runs batted in. Oscar Herder hit a solo-shot off Cameron Elson in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Cameron Elson in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Breslan Allen in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th. At present, Herder is batting .327 and has collected 4 home runs, 7 RBIs, .389 OBP and scored 13 runs. |
