Despite his hitting heroics at Spencer Grounds, the Sweeties lost, 8-7, to the Thousand Oaks Rabbits. Hughes battered Thousand Oaks for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.
