Portland Snaps Lucio Streak at 23 Sunday, June 14th , 2048 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Daniel Lucio as he saw his 23-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 4 at-bats at the hands of the Portland Pickles. It wasn't all bad for the 22-year-old center fielder and the Rochester River Sharks however, as they defeated Portland, 3-2, at Ballpark of Rochester. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Lucio laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." Looking at his stats this year, Lucio has compiled a .279 batting average, while hitting 12 home runs and driving in 35 runs. He has played in 53 games and scored 29 runs. |
