Saturday, June 13th , 2048
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Portland's Matt Kohlhepp made it happen against the Tigers. Everything came together at the plate for the 22-year-old right fielder as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Pickles triumph, 7-5, at Walker Stadium.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Kohlhepp said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Matt Kohlhepp singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
So far this season, Kohlhepp is hitting .331 with 14 home runs, 31 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 58 hits in 175 at-bats and a .409 OBP.
