Tuesday, June 9th , 2048
Daniel Lucio's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Rochester center fielder smacked 1 hit against the Reno Copper Kings in today's game at Ballpark of Reno, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the River Sharks drop the game, 7-4.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Daniel Lucio flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
This year, Lucio is hitting .286 with 12 home runs and 34 RBIs in 49 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .357 with 19 walks and 29 runs scored.
