Retiring Walker May Enter Political Arena Sunday, January 26th , 2042 Avalanche left fielder Chris Walker announced today that he is retiring from baseball. What he does next is still anyone's guess. The popular Walker has been rumored to be considering a run for political office, namely mayor. "He hasn't told me what his plans are," said Philadelphia manager Daniel Mieske. "I know he has an interest in politics, but he hasn't tipped his hand yet, either way." Asked whether he thought Walker was qualified to hold public office, "Mieske replied, "Definitely. I think he'd be a great mayor. He has exactly the kind of leadership skills this city needs." Associates say Walker will make a decision on his future in the next few weeks. |
