Reno Takes Round 2 Wednesday, October 2nd , 2052 The party is on for Reno Copper Kings fans, while disappointment reigns for those fans in Thousand Oaks. The Copper Kings eliminated the Thousand Oaks Rabbits in the Round 2 at Ballpark of Reno today and will now move on to the Round 3. "It's a big letdown and not what we want to be feeling," said Thousand Oaks manager Ken Vowinkel after the loss. Reno won the final game by a score of 7-2 and took the series 4-2. "We want to bring a championship home to our city, that's all there is to it. Everyone wants it badly for themselves, but we want it for Reno too," said Mike Medina, whose strong pitching performances during the series earned him MVP honors. Medina had a 0.00 ERA over 0 innings during the Round 2. He added no strikeouts with a 0-0 record. The Reno Copper Kings will play against the Portland Pickles in the next round.
