Player of the Week: Rochester's Neff Monday, September 9th , 2052 Rochester fans have something to crow about today as Rochester left fielder Jerry Neff nabbed the CBD Triple A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Neff. He posted a .536 average (15-for-28) this past week with 1 home run, 12 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. In 30 games this season, Neff is batting .365 with 42 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 17 runs and driven in 24. |
