Varner Jr. Thwarts Flint, 7-0 Thursday, September 5th , 2052 Chris Varner Jr. was dynamite at Blue Raiders Ballpark, blowing away the Flint Coney Dogs in a shutout victory. The Kinsale Fisherman starter had everything working as he held the Coney Dogs to 5 hits in the 7-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Flint skipper Ayres Canavezes. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Varner Jr. finished the game with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.
