Umana Swings for the Cycle Tuesday, August 20th , 2052 Elias Umana won the battle against the Eugene Exploding Whales, but lost the war. The Phoenix Palisades center fielder hit for the cycle, but it wasn't enough to bring home victory. The Palisades fell to the Exploding Whales, 7-5, at Phoenix Ballpark. "Elias did great but we couldn't put everything together today," Phoenix manager Matt Horn said after the game. Umana collected 4 hits -- 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- plus 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Elias Umana singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rob Acuff in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. For the season, Umana has hit .310 with 22 home runs and 69 RBIs.
