Claeys Torches Tigers for 5 Hits Friday, July 26th , 2052 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Joe Claeys, it came around today. The 28-year-old third baseman scattered hits all over Blue Raiders Ballpark to pace the 7-3 Kinsale Fisherman victory over the Ho Chi Minh City Tigers. Ho Chi Minh City skipper Pete Miller told reporters in the press room that "Claeys deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Claeys hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Joe Claeys hit a two-run home run off Kyle Brown in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
