Mooney Snags AL Top Hurler Trophy Friday, October 1st , 2049 When Sam Mooney takes the hill, he's a good bet to nail down the victory for the Detroit Pizzas. At least that's the way it was in May. He excelled with a 5-0 mark and 1.27 ERA in 5 starts. In 35.1 innings, he fanned 41 and walked 11. That's why he was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the Alliance League. Thus far this season, Mooney has posted a 13-5 record, started 32 games, struck out 192 batters in 180.2 innings and compiled a 4.23 ERA. |
