Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Tuesday, September 26th , 2051
Omar Gallegos of the Buffalo Buffalo and Ivan Chavez of the Arizona Desert Storm will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Buffalo-Desert Storm game at Desert Storm Stadium.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Gallegos and Chavez will begin serving them soon.
This year, Gallegos has hit 14 home runs and posted a .254 batting average.
To date this season, Chavez is 11-8 with 26 starts and an ERA of 5.45 with 139 strikeouts in 137 innings.
