No Playoff Berth Coming for Memphis Tuesday, September 28th , 2049 The Memphis Chicks may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in The Confederation of Baseball Dunces. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Chicks manager GM KDR said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." Memphis last appeared in the postseason in 2042. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 19 times in their 32-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Chicks have missed the playoffs 6 times. Memphis last won the World Series in 2039. |
