3-HR Binge for Godwin Against Portland

Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Super Volcano-Beavers game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Yellowstone center fielder Doug Godwin thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Yellowstone to a win, 14-4, over Portland.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Godwin said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Godwin, who is tied for 6th in the AL in RBI with 94, was 3-for-6 on the day with 4 runs batted in.
Doug Godwin flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Greg Lee in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Greg Lee in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, struck out in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Vendelin Sivak in the 10th.
Godwin is batting .222 this season in 136 games with 33 home runs, 94 RBIs and 75 runs scored. He has 114 hits in 513 at-bats.
