Yellowstone Comes up Empty Against Alvarez
Sunday, September 19th , 2049
The Yellowstone Super Volcano were almost helpless in their 10-0 loss to the Havana Sugar Kings and hurler Zack Alvarez. Alvarez kept the Super Volcano confused all game, spinning a 1-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Alvarez," Yellowstone manager GM AtticaOnline said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 23-year-old left-hander had 3 walks and 10 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Alvarez said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
So far this season, Alvarez has a 15-9 record with a 3.35 ERA.
