FL Hands Out Reliever of the Year Award Saturday, December 14th , 2047 The St. Louis Archies will no doubt have to pony up some big cash if they want to keep star reliever Jason Derrick. That's because the 37-year-old today was named the Federation League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2047. As it stands now, he's heading for free agency unless his team can put forward an extension offer. As of yet, there's been no word about an impending deal. Derrick captured the award with a 2.78 ERA this season over 64.2 innings of work. He made 59 relief appearances and had 38 saves, 78 strikeouts, 13 walks and a record of 3 and 3. Opposing hitters managed only a .226 against him. Evan King of the Kyiv Cossacks finished second in voting, while Vince Collins of the Kyiv Cossacks finished third. |
