Alliance League Names Top Player Monday, September 6th , 2049 When it came to hitting the baseball, Danny Gutierrez was in a class by himself in the Alliance League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Portland tagged opposing pitchers for a .480 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 homers, 6 runs scored and 7 RBIs. So far this year in 130 games, Gutierrez is hitting .332 with 17 home runs, 63 RBIs and 78 runs scored. |
