Havana Rookie Hurls His Way to Award Friday, September 1st , 2051 Pitcher Mark Carlson of the Havana Sugar Kings was the outstanding rookie in the Alliance League last month and today the league selected him as the Rookie of the Month trophy winner. In August his record was 4-1 with a 2.11 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 38.1 innings. Checking out his stats for the season, Carlson has racked up 7 wins and 2 losses in 7 starts, posted a 3.14 ERA, and struck out 76 batters in 71.2 innings. |
