AL Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, August 28th , 2051 25-year-old Bobby Blank sent shock waves through The Confederation of Baseball Dunces last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Alliance League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Blank made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .381 average, 8 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 runs batted in. Where the Yellowstone Super Volcano left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Blank certainly made his mark last week. Thus far this year, Blank is hitting .246 with 24 home runs, 55 RBIs and 72 runs scored. |
