Engels Slaps 5 Hits Thursday, August 24th , 2051 It was a good day at Sugardome II. The Havana Sugar Kings whipped the Portland Beavers, 6-4, and right fielder Jason Engels showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," Engels told BNN reporters after the game. Sugar Kings manager The Baron told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 28-year-old "focused and patient." "It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Jason hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." Jason Engels hit a solo-shot off Jason Scothorn in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
