Archies Prevail, as Divisional Series Goes to the Wire Tuesday, October 11th , 2050 The St. Louis Archies are heading to the League Championship, having narrowly defeated the Osaka Takoyaki. St. Louis edged Osaka in the series 3-2, with a win at Team2 Ballpark in the clinching game by a 5-2 margin. Alex Garcia turned in a strong offensive performance for the Archies and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Garcia continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .381 with a .364 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 5 runs. The St. Louis Archies will play against the Kyiv Cossacks in the next round. Kyiv won their series against the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs 3 games to 1.
