Wilmington Starting Pitcher June's Best Rookie Monday, July 1st , 2052 June was a special time for Wilmington hurler, Matt DiCicco. It was such a good month that the Alliance League picked him the league's #1 newcomer and awarded him the Rookie of the Month trophy. Last month the 27-year-old starter roared through the AL with 4 wins and no losses and a 2.33 ERA as he struck out 25 in 38.2 innings and held opponents to a .268 batting average.
