.336 Average Wins Title for Adams
Tuesday, October 4th , 2050
Batting titles are tough to come by. It takes a lot of talent, hard work, consistency, few slumps, good health and a little luck.
Chris Adams of the Detroit Pizzas put it all together this year and led the Alliance League with a .336 batting average (173-for-515).
The Pizzas center fielder played in 121 games, ending the season with 32 doubles, 3 triples, 21 home runs, 67 runs and 79 runs batted in.
"When you work hard, good things happen," Adams explained to reporters after winning the coveted award. "Slumps happen to everyone, but you won't break out of one without hard work. I think that's one of the prime reasons for my success this season."
