Los Angeles-Havana Fight Results in Suspensions
Saturday, August 20th , 2050
If there wasn't a history between Xavier Blair of Los Angeles and Zack Alvarez of Havana, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Blair said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
To date, Blair has collected 72 hits for a .242 average. He has posted 10 home runs, scored 44 runs and driven in 33 runs.
Alvarez has a 10-8 season record so far. In 25 starts, he has fanned 164 batters in 161.2 innings with a 3.34 ERA.
