Caravaggio Caps Great Week Monday, May 27th , 2052 Detroit fans have something to crow about today as Detroit center fielder Jose Caravaggio nabbed the Alliance League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Caravaggio. He posted a .409 average (9-for-22) this past week with 5 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. For the season, Caravaggio has hit .363 with 17 home runs and 40 RBIs. He has played in 47 games and scored 38 times. |
