Waikiki's Jimenez Suspended Sunday, May 26th , 2052 The Waikiki Wayfinders were officially notified that first baseman Carlos Jimenez had been suspended for an altercation that occurred in yesterday's game with the Hyenas at Ballpark of East Haddam. After arguing a called third strike by the plate umpire, an enraged Jimenez threw his batting helmet toward home after he reached the dugout. That action got him ejected and a 4-game suspension. "I threw the helmet and I shouldn't have. But I don't deserve the suspension. It was a bad call that started this whole mess." This season, Jimenez is hitting .199 with 36 hits, 3 home runs, 15 RBIs, scored 19 runs and played in 50 games. |
