League Gets Last Word, Suspends Sanders 4 Games Sunday, May 26th , 2052 It was both entertaining and embarrassing to see. Sudbury third baseman Steve Sanders really got rowdy at Kyiv Grounds yesterday in a game against the Kyiv Cossacks. It all started with a called third strike and ended up with Sanders being ejected from the game. In between he screamed at several umpires, kicked dirt on them and made several obscene gestures. All of this is frowned upon by the league office. Today they suspended Sanders for 4 games. He could not be reached today for comment. Sanders is hitting .203 this year with 4 home runs, 25 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 32 hits in 158 at-bats, 7 walks and a .237 on-base percentage. Sanders has played in 48 games. |
