Brooklyn-Sudbury Fight Results in Suspensions

After an intense confrontation, both the Knights Kenichi Kanzaki and the Blueberry Bulldogs Luis Espinoza were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Brooklyn-Sudbury game. Kenichi Kanzaki will miss 4 games, while Luis Espinoza was suspended for 9 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Kenichi Kanzaki commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
Kanzaki is swinging at a .278 pace on the year with 20 home runs, 57 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has played in 81 games.
This season, Espinoza has a 6-4 record with a 3.48 ERA in 19 starts.
