Brooklyn-Sudbury Fight Results in Suspensions Sunday, July 10th , 2050 After an intense confrontation, both the Knights Kenichi Kanzaki and the Blueberry Bulldogs Luis Espinoza were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Brooklyn-Sudbury game. Kenichi Kanzaki will miss 4 games, while Luis Espinoza was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Kenichi Kanzaki commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Kanzaki is swinging at a .278 pace on the year with 20 home runs, 57 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has played in 81 games. This season, Espinoza has a 6-4 record with a 3.48 ERA in 19 starts. |
