Player of the Week: Sudbury's Cabrera Monday, August 16th , 2049 When it came to hitting the baseball, Hugo Cabrera was in a class by himself in the Federation League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Sudbury tagged opposing pitchers for a .615 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 16 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 homers, 8 runs scored and 9 RBIs. This season, Cabrera has banged out 104 hits in 296 at-bats for a .351 average with 18 home runs.
