Olson Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, August 12th , 2051 Billy Olson of the Havana Sugar Kings tagged 1 hit in today's 5-1 loss to the Buffalo Buffalo at Sugardome II to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Billy Olson singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. In 106 games this season, Olson is batting .296 with 124 hits and 12 home runs. He has scored 76 runs and driven in 56. |
