Detroit has worked out terms of a deal to send 28-year old RHP George Liston, 27-year old CF Chris Adams, and 26-year old 3B Adrian Ressler to St. Louis for 19-year old minor league LHP Pavlov Ansimov, 18-year old minor league LHP Jason Fast, and 21-year old minor league RHP Mike Van Nostrand. Both teams expect to introduce their new players at press conferences later in the week. Detroit will retain a portion of Liston's remaining contract. Detroit will retain a portion of Adams's remaining contract. Detroit will retain a portion of Ressler's remaining contract. This year, Adams is batting .294 with 128 hits, 7 home runs, 47 RBIs, 12 walks, .321 OBP and has scored 50 runs. |
