Brooklyn Stops Trovato Hit Streak
Sunday, August 8th , 2049
The hitting streak that Yellowstone first baseman Justin Trovato had kept going for 22 games was ended by the Brooklyn Knights. Trovato was stymied over 5 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 10-2 victory at Brooklyn Coliseum.
"Hitting streaks come and go," Trovato said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."
Trovato is currently hitting .276 with 7 home runsand 50 RBIs, while scoring 60 runs.
