Trovato Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games
Thursday, August 5th , 2049
Justin Trovato continued his streak at Brooklyn Coliseum, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Yellowstone first baseman was 1-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Super Volcano were not as fortunate, losing, 7-5, to the Brooklyn Knights.
"Trovato was hitting everything we threw at him," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Justin Trovato grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jaiden Randle in the 9th.
So far this year in 101 games, Trovato is hitting .271 with 6 home runs, 49 RBIs and 57 runs scored.
